Whether you need durable porcelain floors in a high-traffic kitchen, elegant natural stone in an entryway, or custom tile work in a bathroom remodel, our skilled tile specialists deliver results that look stunning and last for decades.

Tile Materials We Work With

Porcelain Tile is our most recommended material for Arizona homes. Porcelain is fired at extremely high temperatures, making it exceptionally hard, dense, and resistant to moisture absorption. This durability makes it ideal for floor applications in kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, and even outdoor patios. Large-format porcelain tiles (24x24 and larger) create a seamless, modern look with minimal grout lines.

Ceramic Tile offers excellent versatility at a lower price point than porcelain. Ceramic is ideal for wall applications, backsplashes, and low-to-moderate traffic floors. Its lighter density makes it easier to cut and install in complex layouts, which can reduce installation time and cost. Not sure which is right for your home? Our detailed porcelain vs. ceramic tile comparison for Arizona homes covers the key differences.

Natural Stone — including marble, travertine, slate, and limestone — brings organic beauty and unique character that no manufactured tile can replicate. Every natural stone tile has its own grain, color variation, and texture. We handle the special care that stone requires, including proper sealing to protect against staining and moisture absorption.

Our Tile Installation Process

Proper tile installation starts well before the first tile is set. We begin with surface preparation — installing cement board on floors and walls, applying self-leveling compound to uneven substrates, and ensuring the surface meets flatness tolerances required for your tile size. Large-format tiles demand flatter surfaces than smaller tiles, and cutting corners on prep leads to lippage and cracking down the road.

For wet areas like showers and tub surrounds, we apply a waterproofing membrane before tiling. We use industry-leading systems including Schluter Kerdi membrane and MAPEI AquaDefense to create a completely watertight barrier. This step prevents moisture from penetrating behind the tile and causing mold, rot, or structural damage — a common failure point in inferior tile work.

The tile itself is set using quality thinset mortar matched to the tile type and substrate. We use tile spacers for consistent grout lines and check alignment with laser levels throughout the installation. Custom patterns — herringbone, basket weave, diagonal, brick offset — are laid out carefully to ensure symmetry and visual balance from every angle in the room.

After the thinset cures, we apply grout in your chosen color, clean all excess, and seal grout lines and any natural stone surfaces. Sealing protects against moisture penetration and staining, extending the life and appearance of your tile work.

Shower and Bathroom Tile

Bathroom tile is one of our core specialties. We build complete custom showers from the ground up — including shower pan construction, cement board installation, waterproofing, wall tile, floor tile, niches, and benches. Our shower tile projects range from simple subway tile surrounds to elaborate multi-tile designs with mosaic accents and frameless glass enclosures.

We also install bathroom floor tile, vanity backsplashes, and tub surrounds. For a closer look at how we approach shower builds, read about our custom tile shower installation process. If you are planning a bathroom remodel, our team can handle the entire scope — not just the tile work.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between porcelain and ceramic tile?
Porcelain tile is denser, harder, and more water-resistant than ceramic. It is better for high-traffic areas and wet locations like showers. Ceramic tile is lighter and easier to cut, making it suitable for walls and low-traffic floors.
Do you install tile in showers?
Yes. We handle complete shower tile installations including waterproofing membrane, cement board, tile installation, and grouting. Proper waterproofing is critical and we use products like Schluter Systems and MAPEI to protect against moisture.
How long does tile installation take?
A typical bathroom tile floor takes 2-3 days. A full shower surround with floor can take 4-5 days. Larger floors depend on square footage. Grout needs 24-48 hours to cure before normal use.
Can you install heated floors under tile?
Yes. We install electric radiant heating mats under tile floors. The heating system is embedded in thinset mortar beneath the tile and adds gentle warmth — especially nice in bathrooms during cooler months.
