Material Options

Quartz is our most installed countertop material, and for good reason. Engineered quartz from brands like Caesarstone, Silestone, and Cambria combines crushed natural quartz with resin binders to create a surface that is:

• Non-porous — no sealing required, ever
• Stain-resistant — coffee, wine, and cooking oils wipe clean
• Scratch-resistant — harder than granite
• Consistent — uniform colors and patterns without the natural variation of stone
• Available in hundreds of designs — from pure whites to patterns that closely replicate the look of marble or concrete

Granite remains a premium natural stone choice. Every granite slab is unique, with distinctive veining, crystals, and color depth that cannot be replicated. Granite handles heat better than quartz (you can set hot pans directly on it) and develops character over time. It does require annual sealing to maintain its stain resistance. Marble offers unmatched elegance with soft veining and luminous surface quality. Marble is porous and softer than granite or quartz, so it requires more maintenance and is susceptible to etching from acidic foods and cleaners. We recommend marble for homeowners who love the aesthetic and are comfortable with the upkeep.

Soapstone is a dense, non-porous natural stone with a smooth, matte finish. It is naturally resistant to bacteria and heat, making it a practical choice for kitchens. Soapstone darkens naturally over time, developing a rich patina.

Our Countertop Process

1. Consultation — We discuss material options, visit showrooms if needed, and help you choose a stone that fits your style and budget
2. Templating — Once your stone is selected, we visit your kitchen to create precise laser measurements of your cabinet layout, including cutouts for sinks, cooktops, and faucets
3. Fabrication — Our fabrication partners cut, shape, and polish your stone based on our templates (typically 5-10 business days)
4. Installation — We carefully deliver and install the countertop, level it, secure it, seal seams, and connect your sink and faucet
5. Edge profiles — Choose from eased, beveled, bullnose, ogee, or waterfall edges. Seam placement is planned for the least visible locations

Custom Tile Backsplash

A tile backsplash adds texture, color, and personality to your kitchen. We install every backsplash style:

• Subway tile — timeless and versatile, available in classic white, colors, and beveled finishes
• Herringbone — diagonal V-pattern creates dynamic visual interest
